Director General of Immigration, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Republic Of Indonesia has released Circulating Letter No. IMI-GR.03.02.0224 Year 2014 on the Elimination of Foreigner Registration Book. With this policy, foreigners who live in Indonesia do not have to own POA (Pendaftaran Orang Asing – Foreigner Registration) Book anymore. However with the enactment of law No. 6/2014 on Immigration and with the application of Immigration Information and Management System (SIMKIM), it is decided that all data and registration of foreigners who enter and stay in Indonesia can be easily recorded and managed thorough information technology and e-office system. Since the application of the new Immigration Law, Indonesian Government has made some adjustments and changes in the application of rules and regulation, regarding the staying permit for foreigners living and working in Indonesia.
